World Book Day

On Thursday 1st March was World Book Day, Year 3 read a story retold by Aaron Shepard, called One Eye! Two Eyes! Three Eyes!, it was originally written in German by the Brothers Grimm. You can read the story at; http://www.aaronshep.com/stories/051.html
As a class we really enjoyed the story and after we had read it and discussed it we then spent the rest of the morning on a variety of activities linked to the text. We made puppets, masks, mini books and lots more. Here are some pictures of us having fun!

Blog-a-thon

This year is a leap year, so we had an extra day, 29th February, and to celebrate this and to promote blogging it was a Blog-a-thon day. All of Fieldhead Carr took part and at some point during the day made a posting on the Blog-a-thon blog. With it taking place on the 29th the theme of the posts were the number 29 or the fact that we had an extra day. So Year 3 planned their posts to either be about 29 of their favourite things of what they would do with an extra day. We all logged on and wrote a post, you can visit the site at; http://feb29th.net/
