This weeks Year 3 Gold book children;

This week Eryk has produced a super piece of stencilled art work, he tried really hard, concentrated and the outcome was very pleasing, well done!

Marley

Marley always puts 100% into everything she does, she takes her time and wants to please, this results in super work, she should be very proud of herself, keep it up!

World Maths Day

Next Wednesday (6th March) is World Maths Day, today a letter went out regarding it and also each child was given their own personal log in details, they can practice from today but the main contest will take place next Wednesday, we will be taking part in school on this day but do please encourage your child to practice and take part at home if they can, it is super fun!!!!!

Talk Homework (27/2/13)

Dear Parents,

This week your child’s Talk homework is to retell the class version of Jack and the Beanstalk (Jenny and the Beanstalk), please encourage your child to use varied sentence openers, different connectives to and, and try to include lots of description to engage the listener/reader.

Please chat to your child on this topic and others surrounding  it. This will help support their writing on Friday. If possible, could the T.V be turned off while the discussion is taking place!

SUMDOG

On Friday 1st March another SUMDOG contest starts, just like last time, you compete against others over a week and a leaderboard is generated. All you have to do is click on the link at the bottom right of this page, log in, click on contest and play.

Maths, shape sorting

P.E. Gymnastics

Last half term our year 3 P.E. topic was gymnastics, we learnt about balancing, travelling and sequencing these movements, year 3 thoroughly enjoyed this unit, here are year 3 in action;
